Natural hand cut purple Sugilite cabochon from Wessel Mine SA (28.30 TCW)

Description

Cabochon Description: COLOR;  Variated purple tints & hues through out the stone.  I would call this piece a Manganoan Sugilite.  Fine quality material  This is NOT a piece of Chalcedony, dyed jaspers, or acrylic plastic seen in todays markets AS Sugilite. NO fractures seen. There is one thin healed fracture. (See picture 10)  POLISH; Mirror finish on the top & 14,000 diamond on the back with a 360 degree bezel along the back edge to prevent chipping. CUT; Free form rectangular cabochon with a lot of surface area for the customer to see. INCLUSIONS: A thin black matrix line in the stone. (See picture 1)    ORIGIN: Wessel Mine, Hotazel South Africa.

Pictures; Taken outdoors in HAZY sunlight, the stone seems to have a bluish tint to it. Under a high intensity lamp the colors appear more reddish, OR my camera is making the stone appear more blue?
